Long-Term Waste-to-Energy Project

Encon Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman / Assistant Site Manager on behalf of our client for a major Waste-to-Energy (EfW) project in Chester.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship infrastructure project with long-term work available and genuine opportunities to progress into a Site Manager position.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable running day-to-day site activities, managing subcontractors, maintaining health & safety standards, and supporting the Site Manager with the successful delivery of works.

Duties Will Include:

• Assisting the Site Manager with the daily running of the project.

• Supervising subcontractors and direct labour on site.

• Coordinating site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and on programme.

• Carrying out site inspections, toolbox talks and daily briefings.

• Monitoring progress and reporting any delays or issues.

• Ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

• Managing site logistics, deliveries, plant and materials.

• Maintaining site records and paperwork.

• Supporting permit-to-work systems and project compliance requirements.

• Liaising with engineers, management teams and stakeholders throughout the project.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager.

• Experience working on industrial, energy, power generation, process, infrastructure or heavy construction projects.

• Waste-to-Energy, Energy from Waste (EfW), Power Station, Petrochemical or Industrial project experience would be highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements.

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Able to read and interpret drawings and construction documentation.

Essential Qualifications:

• SMSTS or SSSTS

• Valid CSCS Card

• Full UK Driving Licence

Preferred:

• First Aid at Work

• Relevant construction qualification or trade background
